2. Not approved by manufacturers
Tire and motorcycle manufacturers do not approve passenger car tires on motorcycles, or rear motorcycle tires on the front wheel. Using them may change handling, braking and stability, may void warranties, may affect insurance coverage and may create serious risk of injury or death.
3. Inspection and legal requirements
Some states require motorcycle safety inspections, and some riders report failing inspection with a car tire on the rear. A rear motorcycle tire mounted against its rotation arrow may also fail where inspections check tire direction. If you live in an inspection state, check your state's legal requirements and ask your inspection station before you mount a non-standard tire. Complying with your state's laws is your responsibility.
4. Rider reports are unverified
Sizes, tires, pressures and results reported here come from riders and public forums. They have not been tested. They may be wrong, out of date or a poor fit for your bike, load or riding.
5. Your responsibility
You are responsible for verifying any tire's size, load rating, speed rating, condition and fit before you buy, mount or ride on it, and for doing the work safely or having it done. You assume all risk.
